In Car Technology have teamed up with Scorpion track and Bill Budd (oldgitonabike) to get Bill from Land’s End to John O’Groats. Bill and five of his friends are aiming to complete this amazing cycle ride which is 900+miles in 60 hours. It will be quite an intense challenge even with the guys using a relay system most people who cycle this on their own usually take 10 – 14 days.

The on the spot fines for using a mobile whilst driving will be increased. A BBC report on the matter said that “Current fixed penalties for using a phone while driving or not wearing a seat belt will rise by £40 to £100”. Research conducted by TomTom Business Solutions found 46 per cent of drivers have over-estimated their mileage when claiming expenses, with 35 per cent doing so regularly.

TomTom Business Solutions allows third-party developers to create new applications for use in and around the vehicle. This is enabled by granting access to the Bluetooth channel on TomTom’s in-vehicle LINK device.
